If you'd like to sell more of your goods and services then there are certain sales copy tips that can help you out.

The following are some of the things I have used over the years to make sure that I hit the mark for my clients, time and time again.

1) Knowing the market The secret to writing great copy starts before you ever touch the keyboard. Superior preparation is the key here. When you know what you market really wants you can go about giving it to them. Getting to know what they are afraid of and what they want more than anything else is the key to making sure your sales copy is compelling.

2) Creating value As you write your copy, makes sure to be looking at how you are creating value continually. You do this primarily by hitting your customer with as many benefits as possible. You want your customer to be thinking at the end of the letter that they would be crazy not to consider taking you up on your offer.

3) Keeping it punchy There is nothing worse in sales copy than seeing huge blocks of sentences together on a page. You want to make sure that your sales copy appears in short sentences and you never put more than three lines together on a page. You want your client's eyes to effortlessly slide down the page and to your offer with no frustration along the way.

4) Make them decide right now Nothing gets done without a deadline so if you want to lock down those sales you will need to give a deadline for your call to action. There are a number of ways to do this without appearing scammy or bending the truth.

If for instance you are offering email support or some kind of backup service in addition to your product you could say that places are limited because you only have a certain amount of time available.

You can also remind the customer of how much pain they are in right now and how it will only continue if they insist on not getting your product.
