8.Some drugs have been linked to causing depressive symptoms. Researchers have linked prolonged use of certain drugs for depression. These medications include anti-interferon (Avonex, Rebetron), corticosteroids (Deltasone, Orasone), diet pills and other stimulants, bronchodilators (Slo-bid, Theo-Dur), anxiety pills and sleep (Valium, Librium), acne (Accutane), oral contraceptives and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (tamoxifen).
