A recent survey shows that law students are satisfied over the quality of education that they received and are generally upbeat about their job prospects.

Despite media stories of a shortage of entry-level attorney jobs, most law students from the class of 2012 have given their law schools a good rating.

The results are from a survey conducted by Kaplan Bar Review. It includes the responses of 705 law school graduates, who are also Kaplan Bar Review students, from the class of 2012. 37 percent of the respondents said that their law school gave them an "A" grade education, while 53 percent gave their law schools a "B" rating. Only 9 percent gave their schools a "C" rating and 1 percent gave theirs a "D". None of the respondents gave their schools an "F" grade.

The law students were also upbeat about the job market. 56 percent of the respondents said that they had not found jobs in the legal field yet. But 62 percent said that they would get jobs in the next three months. LawCrossing.com, which specializes in tracking and reporting legal industry job openings, has found 5,000 entry-level attorney jobs. There are 683 California attorney jobs in this category, with New York in second place with 550 jobs for new attorneys.

LawCrossing.com CEO Harrison Barnes says that new lawyers also need to explore their options in the smaller towns and cities across the country. "The reason our site is able to find these many job openings is because we track openings not just across every practice area but also every location." A lot of small and mid-size firms often advertise either locally or regionally because of which a new lawyer willing to move may miss out on them.

"At LawCrossing.com, this is what we try to solve. We try to provide as much choice as possible in terms of helping them get started and develop their legal careers." adds Barnes.
