Any government agency does not directly fund private child charities. Private charities can receive tax-deductible contributions from donors. Donors may choose to give specific amounts of money to certain programs or donate a percentage of their income. Other ways to contribute to a child charity include volunteering time and donating items like toys, clothes, and furniture. A donor may also sponsor a child by paying their educational costs.
